Withdrawal from cocaine can be extremely difficult and painful process. The symptoms of withdrawal range from mild and requiring little assistance to extreme and necessitating medical assistance. The physical and psychological symptoms of withdrawal become greater with increasing frequency and levels of use, during which time also the high decreases and the dependency intensifies.
Cocaine withdrawal
begins when the drug leaves the body. It enters in either a fat-soluble,
basic form (crack) or a water-soluble, acidic form; regardless, it is
then rapidly converted to the water-soluble form and quickly and fully
metabolized within the body. Little to no residual cocaine remains in
the body.
